The final day of the 2024–2025 Academic and Administrative Staff Darts Tournament, which has been organized for the first time this year by our Directorate, has been successfully completed. The tournament featured 32 teams and 64 athletes, and concluded with Ramazan Kesik and Sina Onur Andaç winning the championship. Metin Yıldırım and Irfan Uysal came in second place, while Metin Türkmen and Orhan Fison came in third.

Our university’s athletics team achieved significant success at the Turkish Athletics Championship. In recognition of their achievements, our athletes were received by our Rector, [Naci İNCİ], who congratulated them and presented their awards.

Our university’s triathlon team, which was established for the first time, participated in the Duathlon Turkish Cup organized by the Turkish Triathlon Federation on 15–16 March in İzmir. In their respective age group categories, our athlete Deniz Taşkın placed 11th and Furkan Başkan placed 4th. In addition, our team continues its preparations for future the triathlon competitions by the Turkish University Sports Federation. We congratulate our athletes and wish them continued success.

Our university chess team participated in the Turkish Interuniversity Chess Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation and hosted by Sivas Cumhuriyet University. Our student Çağatay Aydoğdu achieved third place and was awarded a medal. We congratulate all of our student-athletes who took part and wish them continued success.

Our archery team achieved significant success at the Indoor Archery Turkish Championship organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation and held at the Samsun İlkadım Archery Facilities. Our student Ece Aleyna Öztürk placed second in the Women’s Recurve category in Türkiye, and our women’s recurve team finished fourth. We congratulate our team and technical committee and wish them continued success.

At the Turkish Interuniversity Athletics Championship held in Bursa on 25–26 February 2025, the Boğaziçi University Athletics Team achieved major success by winning five medals across five different events and breaking numerous university records. With a total of 25 universities participating in the championship, the women’s team finished fourth, while the men’s team placed fifth, concluding a successful competition season. Our athletes also achieved notable results in the individual events. Osman Barış Bilgili placed third in Türkiye in the men’s high jump as well as in the pole vault. Neşat Barış Bayrakdar placed third in Türkiye in the men’s 60 meters; Ece Karaağaç placed third in Türkiye in the women’s 400 meters; and Neda Atasoy placed third in Türkiye in the women’s 800 meters. We congratulate our team and wish them continued success.

The 3x3 Staff Basketball Tournament organized by the Sports Branch Directorate of the Department of Health, Culture, and Sports has concluded. Team Güney Bulls won the championship and Team Los Angeles İstanbul placed second, while the Strategy Development team placed third. Awards were presented to the winning teams by Ramazan Kesik, Head of the Department, and Mesut Okur, Director of the Sports Branch. We congratulate all teams that participated in the tournament.

Our university’s Skiing, Snowboarding, and Ice Hockey teams competed successfully at the Interuniversity Winter Sports Games Turkish Championship, organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation and held in Erzurum. Our women’s snowboarding team achieved a major success by finishing third in Türkiye, bringing both a trophy and medals to our university. Among universities in İstanbul, our snowboarding team achieved second place in the women’s team category and first place in the combined classification. Our skiing team placed third among İstanbul universities in both the women’s team category and the combined classification. We congratulate all of our athletes who represented our university in the competitions and wish them continued success.

Our 3x3 Staff Basketball Tournament has commenced. The tournament, which is being organized for the first time, attracted strong interest from staff members across different units.

As part of the Uni-League competitions organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation, the Women’s and Men’s First League volleyball stage has begun. Matches featuring teams from Istanbul Bilgi University, Yıldız Technical University, Beykoz University, Koç University, and Boğaziçi University were played at our Uçaksavar Campus Sports Hall. We wish all competing teams continued success.
