İŞKUR Youth Program - Frequently Asked Questions
In cooperation with İŞKUR, our university introduces our students to the job market.
The İŞKUR youth program is organized in collaboration with our university in order to increase our students’ employability, equip them with knowledge, skills, work habits and discipline.
Within the scope of the program, participants are provided with both work experience and income support. In addition to individual counseling, training in areas such as job hunting, financial literacy, résumé preparation and interview techniques are also given in order to support their integration into the workforce. The program is designed to be part-time and flexible; you may participate for up to three days per week and gain work experience without falling behind in your studies.
The program is implemented across a range of main and sub-activity areas including support for sustainable campus initiatives, campus infrastructure and maintenance activities, social and cultural activities, academic and administrative support services, community service and cooperation activities, student development and adaptation activities, digital transformation and innovation initiatives. Under the program, students receive a payment of TRY 1,083 per day of participation. General Health Insurance (GSS) and worker’s compensation insurance premiums are also paid on their behalf.
What is the İŞKUR Youth Program?
It is a part-time active labor program that provides theoretical and practical training to our university students in order to support public services.
With which institutions can the İŞKUR Youth Program be organized?
The program may be organized with state universities.
Who can benefit from the İŞKUR Youth Program?
Active students enrolled in associate, undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral degree programs at state universities may benefit from the program. (Students enrolled in open or distance education programs are not eligible.)
Can international students benefit from the İŞKUR Youth Program?
Only citizens of the Republic of Türkiye are eligible to participate in the program.
I am a student at University A. Can I benefit from the İŞKUR Youth Program organized by University B?
No. You may only benefit from programs organized by your own university.

What kind of trainings are provided under the İŞKUR Youth Program?
Training is provided on soft skills necessary for entering the labor market, such as job search, financial literacy, résumé preparation, and interview techniques.
What are the principles of the İŞKUR Youth Program? What kind of benefits are provided?
The program may be carried out for up to three days per week, with a daily working time of 7.5 hours. Participants receive a daily allowance of TRY 1,083 for each day of participation, and General Health Insurance (GSS) and worker’s compensation insurance premiums are covered.
Is there a household income requirement for participation in the İŞKUR Youth Program?
If the household income at the address of application exceeds three times the net minimum wage, individuals residing in that household are not eligible to benefit from the program. (This provision does not apply to community living facilities.)
Can you work as a part-time student while participating in the İŞKUR Youth Program?
Students who are employed as part-time student workers at the University are not eligible to participate in the İŞKUR Youth Program. (Eligibility may be regained if SGK registration is terminated.)
What is the duration of the İŞKUR Youth Program?
Participation in the program is limited to a maximum of 10 months, corresponding to a total of 140 actual working days.
